Post 84

Strange as it may seam. I always get to thinking about CHRISTmas this time of year.

Two years ago the Lord brought me to a verse in Nehemiah. It's speaking of a holiday (holy day). A day of feasting, a day of giving, a day of celebrating holiness, a day of joy in the Lord... "Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength." (Ne 8:10) Sounds just like Christmas doesn't it? That's the way it should be. Celebrate the joy of the Lord!

Last year I saw why Jesus came to earth... "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (Jesus, John 10:10b) Oh yeah! Isn't it great?! I've experienced it. I can testify for myself. I have that life, that BIG ABUNDANT life! That life that is filled with peace, joy, and blessings on every hand. Thank you Jesus for coming to give me life!

This year, I've been praising the Lord with the angels. When the angels announced Jesus' birth they said... "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." (Luke 9:14) Now you've got to think about it. I've heard the verse so many times, it just went right over my head at first. But there's a bunch of wonder in that verse. Glory to God it the highest... God's glory FILLS the heavens, isn't it amazing that we can actually add to it, and give Him MORE glory! Peace on the earth... the earth is a big place. It's an especially a big place to be filled with peace. I think of this as a blessing pronounced on the whole earth, a prophecy of peace enveloping the world. If that's what He came to do, dare we say that He is insufficient to accomplish it? Good will toward men... God has a good will toward men. He wants to do them good. He wants the best for us THANK YOU LORD, You have been sooo good to me! Sounds a lot like my friend Mr. Nanney who's always reminding us that "God's in a Good Mood!"

I got up one morning and what did I see? Beauty beyond compare. Thank you Jesus!
