Hi y'all. Enjoy some photos from the last while...

We had church at our house. I called it the underground church. Here we are all piled in the basement.

I gave a Bible lesson on What is That in Thine Hand?

Fall time

Amanda's brother J.J. and I went soul winning with Loomis Park Baptist Church. It was great, we got to share the gospel probably about 15 times. Then J.J. Grace Jemima and I rode the bus and picked up people for church the next day. Praise the Lord, it was a blast!

I found this the other day and it reminded me of my old piano practicing days. I used to sit and watch one of these slowly tick by for what seemed like hours. I was always trying to figure out which minute marks I needed to play some notes at in order to give the impression I was practicing.

Rake and Bake. We had a community leaf raking day with the church. First the ladies baked cookies, then we had three teams that went door to door in different parts of town. We gave out cookies and asked if we could rake their leaves. It went great, everyone took us up on it.

Grandma sitting out enjoying the sun. She fell and broke her hip this summer (2012) She had to get a new one. It's been pretty rough on her, but she is recovering well.

Leaves! Shiloh's not impressed.

God is speaking to the prophet Ezekiel here. God is telling him what his response should be toward the people and their sin.
Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD. -Ezekiel 21:6,7

There is a time for weeping, a time when tears should not be hidden. May the Lord give us soft hearts, broken hearts, over sin. Through brokenness comes true joy.
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. -Psalm 30:5b
