Post 213

That King Josiah, he was a good guy. In a time when everyone was living like the Devil, he decided to live for God. We need to make that decision today. Look what King Josiah did...

"And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant." 2 Kings 23:3

He made a covenant before the Lord! See, Josiah had just come across a copy of God's law, and he decided to obey it. Amen! I think Josiah must have found one of these passages from Deuteronomy...

"...Love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live...hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments...turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul" (from chap. 30).

"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." Deut. 6:5

We had a talent show as a church. It was fantastic! Laughing together is such a great way to bring unity! "Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."
