Well hello there wide wonderful world.

Joy to the world!

The Lord is come.

Let earth receive her king.

Let every heart prepare Him room…

This wonderful Christmas carol, written over 300 years ago by Isaac Watts and George Fredrick Handel, still contains such joy! Its timeless words are so simple and yet so profound!

“Joy to the world”

JOY! Not just for one person or one people group, but to everyone in the world!

“The Lord is come”

Wow! The Lord Jesus came from heaven to earth!

“Let earth receive her king”

Who is your king? Who do you follow? Yourself? Or have you allowed Jesus Christ to rule in your heart?

“Let every heart prepare Him room”

Will you block Him out, or will you open your heart to Jesus once and for all?

The Lord gave me some insights relating this song to John 3:16. I thought about why Jesus came to earth, how "The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world," and "The Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them." Christ came to SAVE us. Then He was showing me some from Romans 10, very simply and clearly how to be saved (Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved).

So the good Lord was giving me all these thoughts and I just had to write them down before I forgot them. Then, the next afternoon, Mr. Heyworth called up and asked if we wanted to go to the jail that night and share. I could see why God had been showing me all that, He wanted me to give them a clear salvation message. I got to share with two groups of men at the jail, and then Sunday with the folks at Pine Ridge Villas. It was wonderful, the Lord was there. Especially at the jail. What a blessing! Thank you Jesus!

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
“For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
“He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:16-19).

Good Ol' John Juuhl. He was quite encouraging the other day. "We've got to be very careful what we say. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."

Look out! She's fixin' to blow!

We played Pictophone there (click to enlarge.) You write a phrase on the first page, the next person draws a picture of your phrase on the second page, the next person looks at the picture and writes what it is on the third page. And on, and on for 15 pages. They can turn quite different simply from each person's honest interpretion of what they saw. Like this one. It went totally wrong, but looking at it step by step you can see why each one thought what they did.

Levi played some songs.

The Christmas story is taking on new meaning to me. We're feeling a bit like Mary and Joseph here, looking for the day our child will be born. All the anticipation and excitement is building up. I can imagine how excited Mary and Joseph must have been leading up to the day Jesus would be born.

I WANT TO HOLD THE BABY, instead of Amanda hogging him/her all the time! Any day now.

Love you all, be praying for us, God bless and goodbye.
