Amanda and I have been reading through the Bible and we are now in the book of Exodus.

The Lord God is speaking to Moses in mount Sinai. The Lord is instructing him to build a tabernacle for Himself. I was noticing the reason He stated for it. God had this deep longing to live with His people. He wanted to "DWELL," to "MEET WITH," and "COMMUNE" with them.

Ex 25:8-9 And let them make Me a sanctuary; that I may DWELL AMONG THEM.
According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.

Ex 25: 21-22 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
And there I will MEET WITH THEE, and I will COMMUNE WITH THEE from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Ex 29:42-46 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will MEET you, to SPEAK there UNTO THEE.
And there I will MEET WITH the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory.
And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to Me in the priest's office.
And I will DWELL AMONG the children of Israel, and will be their God.
And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may DWELL AMONG them: I am the LORD their God.

It's amazing to see God's desire shown in the temple. You can see His heart in it. The Lord has never lost that deep longing to live with His people. He wants to live with you and I today.

I Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

II Cor 6:16b YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD; as God hath said, I will DWELL IN THEM, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Eph 3:17a That Christ may DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS by faith;

IJo 4:13 Hereby know we that we DWELL in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.

So come to Him by faith and DWELL WITH GOD!!!

I gave a business card to Amanda the first day we met. She was 16 and I was 23. We went on a search for it through all her things here at our apartment, and found it! We found the original card I gave her!!!!!
